I got this email today and thought that few of you might identify and would be interested. I'm going to hit up the next meeting since I'm downtown, but if I know that more people are interested, I could let them know.

You, and others you know, might be interested in this group. YEPOC stands for Young Environmentalist People of Color or something like that, composed of people of color who work at/for environmental organizations (governments or nonprofits). It was started by a friend of mine named Marcelo, whom I met in an environmental fellowship.

They meet monthly, discussing specific topics, as well as providing a venue to talk about/share info on the whole being-one-the-only/few-persons-of-color-in-the-environmental-group thing…
