This sounds like an awesome opportunity - especially those who are into food systems. It's on Monday, so sign-up now!
Come volunteer at Ecotrust's Farmer-Chef Connection Conference at the Canby County Fairgrounds on Monday, March 5th. This is a great opportunity to meet many of those working to transform the food system, find solutions to environmental problems, and help improve the local economy. Also enjoy fantastic local food and beverages throughout the day. Full or part-day opportunities.
The seventh annual Farmer-Chef Connection continues the tradition of creating and sustaining relationships between farmers, ranchers and food buyers. During this one-day event, farmers and ranchers join forces with restaurant chefs, grocery retailers, food service operators, institutional buyers and distributors to cultivate partnerships and strengthen our local food system. Food producers and food buyers, both seasoned professionals and novices alike, will have numerous opportunities to make market connections. All attendees will take part in valuable workshops, and hear from author Daniel Imhoff, who will present his new book - Food Fight: A Citizen's Guide to a Food and Farm Bill.
