Hi Team!
I just wanted to give you a heads up about a GREAT opportunity for you to gain some experience in the grant-making area.
Please read the note below from Lara Jones, IP Coordinator at NWSA. NWSA is calling for proposals for AmeriCorps positions, like yours. As we receive many proposals, we need readers to go over them and offer constructive feedback on whether this would be a good placement for a member. Who is better to know what would be a good AmeriCorps position than YOU.
Please see the note below from Lara to learn more about how to become a community reader:
Hello Friends of Northwest Service Academy,
Do you have interest in helping us select AmeriCorps Sponsor sites for the 2007-2008 service year?
The Northwest Service Academy needs community readers for our 2007-2008 Request For Proposals (RFP) process! We need you to help us determine projects that meet AmeriCorps requirements as well as fit the Northwest Service Academy's program objectives. Community readers will review approximately 8-10 applications and provide feedback to NWSA staff on project proposals. Readers will need to be available to pick up proposals and attend the Community Reader Event on March 21st from 6:00 - 8:00pm at LCC office (see address below) and return the proposals with feedback to Lara Jones by April 4th.
Proposals will be focused on environmental education, resource conservation, watershed restoration, enhancing public lands, and increasing volunteerism in environment and education.
If you are interested or need more information, please contact Lara Jones at 503-234-2383 x102 or Lara.Jones@ed112.org by March 14th.
Thank you!!
Lara Jones
